Working Z-Visa in China
To work legally in China as a foreign teacher you must obtain a Z-Visa. To do so your school will have to apply through the government. As part of the application process you are required to justify why you are suitable for the job. For this you must have a BA Degree or higher and hold a teaching certificate (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) to be issued a visa. Many schools in China try to get away with issuing a cheaper and easier to obtain Business Visa which is Illegal if you are working.
With Find Work Abroad we confirm with the school before you arrive that they'll need to complete the visa application process on your behalf.
The Process
> When you're in England you'll need to forward electronic copies of your degree and teaching qualification to our office in China.
> Once we have this we will forward your documents to the school. The school will submit your application and receive a document from the Chinese Authorities.
> This document will be sent to you electronically, you'll need to print it out and take it to the embassy along with your original Degree, transcripts and original teaching certificate.
> The embassy in London will take your passport overnight and issue a single entry Z-Visa.
> When you enter China you need to go to the visa office within 30 days. They will cancel your Z-Visa and replace this with a Residency permit which has multiple entries and gives you the right to work.
